On their return from the annual Cruise Shipping Global Trade Show held in Fort Lauderdale (Florida), from 14th to 16th March, the representatives of the Nantes − Saint Nazaire Cruise Shipping Club had been able to meet many American and European cruise shipping companies that are already working on the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
The 2017 season looks quite promising, with a record number of calls, since a dozen cruise liners have planned to pay a visit to the Loire Estuary, including eight calling at Montoir de Bretagne’s Great Western Terminal and four at Nantes Cheviré.
This year marks a notable first: on 9th May, the cruise liner Astoria, chartered by Rivages du Monde, will be taking on board for the first time ever at Montoir de Bretagne 450 passengers departing on a cruise to discover the pilgrimage route going from Saint Nazaire, via Lisbon and Leixoes, then returning to La Coruña.
